Pippin (Corgi)
"Small legs, enormous heart."
Pippin was a corgi with the confidence of a much larger dog and the legs of a baked potato. Laura brought him home to Asbury Park as a puppy, and he spent the next twelve years patrolling the boardwalk like it was his sworn jurisdiction. He loved seagulls, hated skateboards, and believed every open car door was an invitation to adventure. He had a gift for appearing exactly where food might fall. Family dinners were never truly private with Pippin stationed under the table, eyes bright, ears high, waiting for mercy or negligence. His favorite toy was a stuffed lobster that survived five moves and exactly zero dignified photographs. When Pippin slowed down, he still insisted on his beach walks, even if they became shorter and mostly involved sniffing one excellent patch of dune grass. Laura says the apartment is too quiet now, but every walk near the ocean still feels like he is trotting just ahead, leading the way.
