Debra Ann Horton

"Hard candy in every pocket, a name for every face."

Debbie passed away January 19th at home, surrounded by family. She drove a school bus for the county for 23 years and knew just about every kid in the district by name, even after they'd grown up and moved on. She was the kind of person who kept hard candy in every coat pocket and would hand some over to whoever was standing nearby. Before bus driving she spent years working at a fabric store. Made all three of her kids Halloween costumes every year until they were too embarrassed to wear them. She could not watch TV without doing a word search at the same time. Had strong opinions about mashed potatoes. She leaves behind her husband Gary, three kids, and five grandchildren. We don't really have the words for it.
